School Tax Information
Rye City School District taxes are collected during the months of August and November. Those whose taxes are paid by their banks or mortgage companies will not receive a bill. Those who pay their taxes directly who have not received a bill by the first week of August or November should immediately call Lynn Ferguson, Assistant Tax Collector, at 967-6100, ext. 6276.
The address for mailing payments is printed on the reply envelope with your tax bill, and is also printed on the bill. When tax payments are mailed, they are sent to P.O. Box 48317 Newark, New Jersey 07101-8517. If you do not have the original bill, please mail your payment to Rye City School District, 411 Theodore Fremd Ave, Suite 100S, Rye, NY 10580.
Payments must be postmarked (official United States Post Office postmark) by August 31 for the first payment and by November 30 for the second payment to avoid penalty.
Payments may be made in person at the District’s administrative offices, 411 Theodore Fremd Avenue, Suite 100S, 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in August, on week days. Office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for the November payment, school days except for Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving Day, and the Friday after Thanksgiving.
